When I heard about Hugh & Grace’s oil-based serums, I wondered if they would work for my acne-prone 30-something skin. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how moisturizing and effective they are without being oily. The Hugh and Grace renewing night serum with blue tansy oil is my favorite. The serum has replaced my nighttime serums, moisturizer, and eye cream. Keep reading to hear all about the Hugh and Grace night serum ingredients, how to use it, and my results so far.

The Importance Of A Quality Nighttime Skincare Routine

Whatever you put on your skin before going to bed is what your skin draws on to recover from the stressors of the day (wind, sun, SPF, makeup, anything you put on it or it experiences).

Researchers have concluded that our skin generally starts overnight repair processes around 2 am (give or take, depending on your bedtime). So, at 2 am, your skin will finish absorbing and use those ingredients you put on it at bedtime to repair itself. You want to improve capillaries, the skin matrix, texture, tone, and get collagen back no matter your age. You can’t do that if you don’t use the right products at night.

What is Hugh and Grace?

If you haven’t heard of Hugh and Grace yet, I recommend you check it out. I’ve written about the products here and the advocate opportunity here. Hugh and Grace is a mission-driven, US-based company founded by Ben and Sara Jensen. They take clean beauty one step further by being hormone-safe and refusing to use endocrine disruptors in their products. Hugh and Grace products reduce your chemical body load by helping detox, repair, and protect your skin from the effects of endocrine-disrupting chemicals. The average woman puts 12 products on her body daily, 168 chemicals. By switching out 4 of those products to Hugh and Grace, you can potentially prevent 368 chemical exposures per week. That’s 1568 fewer exposures per month and 18,816 fewer chemical exposures per year. Click here to learn more about Hugh and Grace.

Hugh and Grace Night Serum Results

This Vitamin A rich oil is designed to regenerate your complexion and protect it from free radical damage.  It detoxifies, reduces redness and inflammation, and leaves the skin soft and supple.  If you haven’t tried the Hugh and Grace night serum yet, it’s time to restore your skin with essential vitamins and nutrients.

I’ve noticed improved fine lines and wrinkles since using the Hugh and Grace night serum.  I’ve also noticed reduced under-eye bags.  What I love is how my skin feels when I use it.  The serum soaks in completely and leaves my skin feeling dewy and moisturized, not at all greasy.  The true miracle is when I wake up.  My skin is usually dry, but it feels completely hydrated and looks almost better than when I went to bed.  There is repair going on overnight.  Here is a picture of my 38-year-old skin in the morning, with no makeup, after about a month of using the Hugh and Grace night serum at night.

Hugh and Grace before and after

Though I love all four products, the Hugh and Grace night serum is what I find myself recommending most. After cleansing your face, apply 3-10 drops of this oil-based serum to your skin. It’s deeply moisturizing and can replace nighttime serums, eye cream, and night cream. It saves time and money, but I love how my skin feels when I wake up in the morning after sleeping in the night serum. Let’s dive into the ingredients so you can understand how this serum can benefit your skin.

Why Vitamin A?

The Hugh and Grace night serum includes a pro-vitamin A complex to slow aging and strengthen the skin barrier.  It’s great for stimulating collagen production and evening-out skin tone.  Vitamin A is a must-have for those with moderate to visible signs of aging as it stimulates fibroblasts, promotes cellular turnover, and helps slow down oil production.  Vitamin A serums are best used at nighttime.

My Final Thoughts on the Hugh and Grace Night Serum

What you put on your body gets in your body, and even “clean” products may contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals in their ingredients or packaging.  If I can find a product that is 100% free of hormone disruptors and provides me with great results, I’m willing to pay for it.  Fortunately, the Hugh and Grace night serum is affordable, and a bottle lasts me months.  Interested in grabbing one for yourself?  Here’s that link again, don’t forget to use promo code HELLO10 if it’s your first order.  Questions?  Feel free to reach out.
